Kansas City Chiefs move to 3-0

The Chiefs take their show on the road looking to move to 3-0 against the winless Indianapolis Colts in Week 3. The Colts will be looking to bounce back after throwing up a goose egg last week in a loss against the Jacksonville Jaguars. On paper, Indy should be far better than they have shown so far, and the Chiefs’ defense is not a group that should give the Colts’ offense quite as much resistance.

Nevertheless, the Colts have looked off early in the 2022 season, while the Chiefs have been the opposite. Especially on offense. Patrick Mahomes seems to be on a journey to prove every single off-season doubter wrong and has looked in mid-season form already. With a -3 spread for Kansas City, look for them to win in Indy by much more than three points.

Miami Dolphins keep things close versus Buffalo Bills

Bills vs Dolphins in a matchup of unbeaten teams is one of the marquee games this week. The early lines have the ‘Fins as a +6 betting underdog. That is evidence of the huge amount of respect oddsmakers have for Buffalo on both sides of the ball. And why not, they have looked fantastic so far in handing the Los Angeles Rams and Tennessee Titans early season losses. However, the Dolphins may be getting severely overlooked.

Tua Tagovailoa had a career game in Week 2 when he tossed six touchdowns. Plus, the combination of Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle has proven both dynamic and deadly in 2022. The Dolphins may not get the W on Sunday, but their offense should be able to make it competitive and keep them below a six-point loss at home.

Detroit Lions continue surprise resurgence in 2022

The Detroit Lions have been one of the best stories in the NFL this season. Despite a 1-1 record, they have over-performed and been led by some impressive play by running back D’Andre Swift and receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown. Their opponent, the Minnesota Vikings, has a more talented group but head coach Dan Campbell seems to be getting max effort out of his Lions squad. That may not be the case for the Vikings and new head coach Kevin O’Connell.

A +6 line is understandable because the Lion defense has not been great so far, but their offense has performed at a level where this game should be close and they may even threaten a surprise win on the road.

New Orleans Saints pummel Carolina in Week 3

The New Orleans Saints defense is one of the best in the NFL and showed that against the Buccaneers last week by keeping the score to 3-3 heading into the fourth. However, their offense has more upside than they have shown this season. The Carolina Panthers don’t look like they will be world-beaters with new QB Baker Mayfield. Meaning Week 3 should be a display of the full potential of the Saints in 2022.

New Orleans is a -2.5 favorite on Sunday and is sure to pull away and win big as their matchup with the Panthers plays out.

Atlanta Falcons get first win of the season

While the Atlanta Falcons’ defense has been nothing to write home about in the new season, their offense scored 26 and 27 points in the first two weeks. One of those came against the aforementioned Saints’ defense which is one of the better groups in the league. They are sure to allow Geno Smith and the Seattle Seahawks offense to put up some points, but they will most definitely throw up a bunch of their own.

The Dirty Birds are only a +1 betting underdog on Sunday. Look for them to overcome that number by a lot and get their first win of the season in an offense war in Seattle.
