It was during training camp that Crowder indicated to the Suns that he’d like to be moved. Phoenix’ brass accepted said request and agreed to find a trade partner. Several teams have come up as potential landing spots with the Miami Heat now seen as a favorite to land the underrated forward. According to Jake Fischer of Yahoo! Sports, Heat officials have expressed confidence that they are hit preferred landing spot.

Crowder, 32, played for the Heat back in 2019-20, averaging 11.9 points and 5.4 rebounds on 45% shooting from distance. This past season saw him average 9.4 points and 5.3 rebounds on 40% shooting from the field. It remains to be seen what type of compensation the Suns are demanding.

NBA trade rumors: Indiana Pacers could still look to move Myles Turner

It’s somewhat surprising that Turner wasn’t dealt during the offseason. Indiana is in retooling mode with the likes of Tyrese Haliburton and rookie Bennedict Mathurin seen as two potential franchise cornerstones. Meanwhile, Indiana likes what it has in young big men Isaiah Jackson and Jalen Smith.

ESPN’s Brian Windhorst reports that there’s a good chance Turner will be moved at some point soon with his name still being bandied about.

“Also Myles Turner is—he could be traded in a sign-and-trade for [Deandre] Ayton to Phoenix, or I’ve been told he could go somewhere else. There’s a good chance he’s not going to be a Pacer next year.”

Report on Myles Turner situation

Turner, 26, is slated to become a free agent following the 2022-23 season. Indiana will want to get some compensation rather than letting him walk for nothing. The former first-round pick from Texas has been a solid contributor throughout his career, averaging 12.7 points, 7.1 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game.

Draymond Green, Golden State Warriors headed for a divorce

Fresh off an ugly incident in which he’s shown on video punching teammate Jordan Poole, Green’s future with the Warriors is now in question. A recent report indicates that a divorce is all but imminent. Whether that happenss via a trade ahead of next summer remains to be seen.

What we do know is that Green has an ability to opt out of his contract and become a free agent following the 2022-23 season. He’s also said to be looking for a max contract, something the Warriors are unlikely to dole out given their luxury tax situation.

  • Draymond Green stats (2021-22): 7.5 PPG, 7.3 RPG, 7.0 APG, 1.3 SPG, 53% shooting

The question now becomes whether Golden State considers the idea of trading Green. An argument can be made that it’s much likelier to repeat as champs with him on the roster. However, adding more draft capital and/or young players could also make sense. As it is, Green will be the subject of NBA trade rumors over the next several months. That’s for sure.

Russell Westbrook could still be moved

Westbrook’s disastrous preseason performance coupled with NBA trade rumors linking him to deals this past summer coupled with Westbrook’s expiring contract could lead to it happening ahead of the February deadline. If the former NBA MVP continues to prove he’s not a fit in Los Angeles, there’s nothing stopping this team from moving him.

The closer we get to the deadline, the more valuable he becomes as an expiring contract. In return, Los Angeles picks up long-term deal(s) rather than having to part with draft picks. Pure speculation here, but a team like the rebuilding Pacers might come calling to move off Buddy Hield’s contract. These two teams have been linked to one another in a trade of this ilk over the past several months, too.
