Here you will find our latest top 20 of the premier offensive units in the NFL. However, because of the physical violence and competition level in the league, the rankings will surely churn up new orders throughout the season. 20. Arizona Cardinals (LW: 18)
Kyler Murray and the Cardinals’ offense have been up and down all season long. At times he and the squad have shown the serious potential they have, and in others, they have been controlled with ease. while Deandre Hopkins’ return from suspension did help to ignite things for a time, but Murray missing games for injuries has put Arizona’s playoff hopes to rest late in the season.
The starting QB was knocked out of their Week 14 game against the Patriots early and Colt McCoy was only able to lead the offense to 14 points in another loss.

19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (LW: 20)
Whether you want to blame Tom Brady or offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich, nothing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are doing has worked this season. Brady’s lone scoring drive in Week 14 came in garbage time when Tampa bay trailed 35-0. A team that ranks top five in offensive plays is averaging the third-fewest yards per play. If all of that isn’t enough, the Buccaneers’ 38.3% third-down conversion rate since Week 7 speaks volumes.

18. Cleveland Browns (LW: 15)
Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson is clearly rusty as this offense has taken an alarming step back since his return. In two starts, Cleveland’s offense is responsible for just one offensive touchdown in eight quarters and that’s just part of the problem.
Against the Houston Texans and Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland converted just 28.5% of its 28 third-down attempts. It’s not like Watson is under constant siege, taking just three sacks on nearly 70 dropbacks. Alarmingly, Cleveland’s rushing attack has become less effective falling from 154.4 rushing yards per game and 4.9 yards per carry to 122.5 rushing YPG and 3.9 YPC.

17. Chicago Bears (LW: 19)
While the Chicago Bears and QB Justin Fields were a hot mess at times in the first six weeks of the season, they and their young signal caller began to turn things around and become a formidable offense. And an offense that is one of the best rushing units in the NFL. However, an injury to Fields derailed the improved play and they have taken a step back in recent weeks.
In Week 13 they still struggled with Fields back in uniform. The QB threw two costly interceptions and their opponents, the Packers, were far more efficient on offense. Furthermore, their elite rushing attack was held in check by the Green Bay defense. Heading into Week 15 after a bye, they stand pat in our NFL offense rankings.

16. Atlanta Falcons (LW: 16)
The Atlanta Falcons offense was one of the biggest surprises for much of 2022. Cordarrelle Patterson was stellar at running back and Drake London grew into the WR1 they were hoping for when they made him the first receiver selected in this year’s draft. Marcus Mariota was also much better than expected. However, that was all early in the season.
After weeks of scoring 20 or more, the offense has stalled out in the back half of the season, leading to Mariotta’s demotion and rookie Desmond Ridder taking over as starting QB heading into Week 15. The move wasn’t shocking, but still a disappointing result for Mariota after a strong start to the year.

15. Green Bay Packers (LW: 15)
This has been a massively disappointing season for the Green Bay Packers, and especially their offense. They gave QB Aaron Rodgers an absurd contract in the offseason that pays him around $50 million annually, yet the O has been middle of the road for much of the year.
This past week, despite not even throwing for over 200 yards Rodgers and the offense was still efficient nonetheless. As their defense got them the ball in good field position after turnovers and the Packers O made the Bears pay, to the tune of 28 points in Week 13.

14. Baltimore Ravens (LW: 14)
Lamar Jackson has pretty much been a one-man wrecking crew for the Baltimore Ravens for much of the season. Be it through the air or on the ground, Jackson has increased his value heading into free agency and a likely franchise tag next season. Outside of tight end Mark Andrews, the star QB has gotten little help from fellow members of the offense.
However, the star QB suffered a knee injury early in their Week 13 game, and backups Tyler Huntley and James Proche II were not very good in relief. Fortunately, the Ravens faced a worse offense in the Broncos. In Week 14, a monster 122 yards game from J.K. Dobbins against the Steelers helped to carry the day on offense and ease the need for Huntley to step up in ways he may not be capable of.

13. Las Vegas Raiders (LW: 13)
The Las Vegas Raiders offense looked great out of the gate on Thursday Night Football in Week 14. With Davante Adams, Josh Jacobs, and Derek Carr all making big plays, Las Vegas finished its first three drives with 13 points with 177 total yards. On the fourth series, the Raiders’ offense covered 73 yards on nine plays before Carr’s inexcusable red-zone interception.
It proved to be a turning point for this group. After covering 250 yards of offense, Las Vegas managed just 57 combined yards on its next five possessions. Keep in mind, this was with a strong presence of Raiders’ fans at SoFi Stadium and Los Angeles didn’t have Aaron Donald. Let Week 14 be the final piece of evidence proving Carr and Josh McDaniels are the problems with LV.

12. Seattle Seahawks (LW: 8)

When the Seattle Seahawks traded team legend, Russell Wilson, in the offseason the assumption was that their offense would see a major drop in productivity with Geno Smith leading the way. He has stunned in leading a scary good Seahawks offense and, shockingly, has played at an MVP level this season.
We didn’t necessarily see this come to fruition in an ugly Week 14 loss to the Carolina Panthers. With star rookie running back Kenneth Walker sidelined, Smith threw two interceptions in what was his worst performance of the season. Now set to take on the league’s top defense Thursday night, the hope is that things don’t snowball here.

11. Jacksonville Jaguars (LW: 12)
With new head coach Doug Pederson leading the team, Trevor Lawrence and the offense have been far more potent in 2022. They have a solid threat on the ground with Travis Etienne and a legit WR1 in Christian Kirk. However, they have also been very inconsistent at times.
That wasn’t the case in Week 14 when they dismantled an otherwise good Titans defense to the tune of 428 total yards and 36 points in an upset win. Over the course of his past five starts, Lawrence has accounted for 10 touchdown passes and zero interceptions. That seems pretty good.

10. Miami Dolphins (LW: 6)
After losing Tua Tagavailoa for several games early in the season, the Miami Dolphins have shown the sensational play they had in their first few games was no mirage. The Miami passing game is one of the deadliest in the NFL and is pushing them into a Super Bowl contender status.
It just has not translated to the past two games (both losses). Miami has scored a total of 34 points during this span. Meanwhile, Tua is coming off a Week 14 outing in which he completed just 10-of-28 passes for 145 yards. That’s just gross.

9. San Francisco 49ers (LW: 13)
After struggling in the early going of the season, the San Franciso 49ers offense got into a solid rhythm midway through the season. That was bolstered by the NFL trade deadline acquisition of star running back Christian McCaffrey.
Unfortunately, the 49ers O took a massive hit in Week 13 when Garoppolo suffered a foot injury. Fortunately, the team has continued to play elite ball on offense with rookie Brock Purdy under center. He led San Francisco to a blowout 35-7 win over the Buccaneers in Week 14. All said, San Francisco is averaging a resounding 28.7 points during its six-game winning streak. The only question here is the health of Deebo Samuel after he went down to an ankle injury in Week 14.

8. Los Angeles Chargers (LW: 10)
Justin Herbert continues to look like a budding superstar in the new season and his crew of receivers has delivered despite some early injuries. After taking a nasty hit late in their Week 2 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, the starting QB had an off game in the follow-up but bounced back and powered his unit to be one of the best NFL offenses.
In Week 14. Herbert and the Chargers went pass-friendly as the team took out the Miami Dolphins. That included the quarterback completing 39-of-51 passes for 367 yards. The only question here is Los Angeles’ non-existent rushing attack. That must change moving forward with the onus being on Austin Ekeler.

7. Minnesota Vikings (LW: 3)
Justin Jefferson has continued his ascension to elite status in 2022, as he has been a monster for the Minnesota Vikings this season. Kirk Cousins has done a strong job of giving him opportunities and Dalvin Cook has also been an impact player to lead the ground attack. It has made the Vikings’ offense a well-oiled machine all season and led to their impressive season thus far.
This didn’t change in Week 14 with Minnesota putting up 416 total yards of offense. Jefferson went for 223 of his own and has 1,500 receiving yards through 13 games. That’s absolutely insane.

6. Detroit Lions (LW: 11)
Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions’ offense was a pleasant surprise in the opening weeks of the NFL season. The veteran QB was impressive and received a bunch of help from running back D’Andre Swift and receiver Amon-Ra St-Brown –who had been absolute game-changers early.
After some mid-season struggles, this unit has picked it up even more recently. Detroit is coming off a huge Week 14 win over the Minnesota Vikings. Its offense is averaging 32.2 points over the past five games. This is why Detriot is closing on the top five of our NFL offense rankings with the team in legit playoff contention.

5. Dallas Cowboys (LW: 5)
With Dak Prescott back in the fold, after missing several weeks with a hand injury, the Dallas Cowboys offense has soared. Since his return against the Lions, the offense has helped to put up 24 points or more often and topped 40 twice in recent games.
However, Week 14 against the Texans was a bit more of a struggle. Dallas found itself down throughout the vast majority of the game before Prescott led it on a game-winning touchdown drive. This drops the ‘Boys down some in our most-recent NFL offense rankings.

4. Cincinnati Bengals (LW: 4)
It took some time for the Cincinnati Bengals offense to get going due to Joe Burrow missing a lot of time this summer. But once they got in a rhythm, they quickly rose back up our NFL offense rankings. Superstar wideout Ja’Marr Chase has missed some time, but Tee Higgins has elevated his game to an all-new level in his absence.
With Chase back in the mix, Cincinnati’s offense continues to take off at the right time. Here’s a team that’s averaging 30 points over its past five games (all wins). With a Week 15 matchup coming against the struggling Buccaneers, we expect Cincinnati to ascend our NFL offense rankings even more moving forward.

3. Philadelphia Eagles (LW: 3)
Jalen Hurts has been outstanding through the air and on the ground in year three. Plus, Miles Sanders has also offered up another strong threat in the rushing game, and AJ Brown has been exactly what the team hoped for when they traded for him in April.
In Week 14, Hurts and the Eagles’ offense had another great outing. The team put up 437 total yards and 48 points in a blowout win over the New York Giants. Hurts himself accounted for three more total touuchdowns. You can do the math from there.

2. Buffalo Bills (LW: 2)
Josh Allen has been playing like an MVP in 2022, and Stefon Diggs is one of the best pass-catching targets on Earth. While the run game has not been the equal of the passing attack, it has not stopped the Bills from having one of the best offenses in the NFL for much of the season.
Week 14 against the Jets’ improved defense was not vintage by any means. Buffalo racked up just 232 yards and 20 points. However, it must be noted that the conditions were not great. We’re intrigued to see how he does against the division-rival Dolphins Saturday night in Western New York.

1. Kansas City Chiefs (LW: 1)
Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs offense have continued to chug along in 2022. Despite trading off superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill in the offseason, and dealing with injuries in their receiving corps, they have been the best NFL offense this season.
Week after week they make it look easy and Mahomes is taking all the fun out of throwing for 300 yards because he is doing it on a regular basis. That 300-yard game streak surprisingly ended against the Bengals in Week 13 before Mahomes netted 332 yards in a win over the Denver Broncos this past Sunday. Though, he also threw three interceptions.
